A story about "The Corporation" — 4 years ago
i got no love for corporations…well no more than i do for men. it’s more of an indifference, really. THE CORPORATION raises lots of interesting ideas—from the frankfurt school to worries about commodification and privatization to patents on organisms to the legal status of corporations. but for goodness sakes, people, learn some economics. the most intriguing parts of THE CORPORATION focused on collusion between corporations and various governments. predictably, the left wingers who made this film placed the lion’s share of the culpability on the corporations (whereas a libertarian would place more blame on the state). in any event, well worth watching…even though i have major issues with anyone who makes a 2.5 hour documentary (with the exception of WACO: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT).
