A story about "Small Gods" — 5 years ago
Not my favorite of the Discworld books, but I still like it. I love the idea of gods gaining their power from their faith. Om as a turtle is hillarious.

I can’t count how many times I’ve read these intertwined tales from the immaginary coastal town of Klatsand, Oregon. The final ones, “Hernes,” is my favorite.
I love this book. From the first few pages I thought that I was going to be dissapointed, but instead I have been amazed. It’s simply wonderful .
I love Barbara Kingsolver because she never fails to really make me think. This book was no exception. Also, despite the deapth of the lessons, she manages to make them complement the story rather than getting in the way of it – a rare feat indeed.
I love Atwood, and I’d heard wonderful things about this book. I think that those two combined lead me to expect too much.
There were parts of it that were good, but I spent most of my time trying to fight off the urge to skip to the last chapter to see how it all ends. When I finally reached the end, I found myself wishing that I’d just given in to the temptation.
