A story about "Wasabi" — 2 years ago
sushi is nothing without it, i tell you

oneplusone / =r=
is consuming 12 items,
doing 41 things,
going 6 places, and
meeting 14 people.
I'm currently reading 7 books, listening to 2 albums, watching 1 movie, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 2 other things.
=r= hasn't consumed anything recently.
a childhood favourite of mine.
i’m pretty sure this was the first book ever to make me seek every other book by a particular writer at the library. ♥
since it seemed to be in the vein of, but slightly different to, another book she repeatedly reads [affluenza], i bought this for my mother for christmas 05, against the (blatantly terrible) advice a worker at the bookstore gave me. it interested me, so eventually i’ll get around to stealing it from her office to read for myself.
from the beginning, the story has been one that could easily be very interesting. soon after though, i found it was slow-moving, and it seems that nothing is happening, and i’m concluding that it may remain the same way throughout the rest of the book.
i’ll try to finish it, so i can make statements with more certainty.
the word is that if you weren’t brought up with it, you’ll never like it
and in my experience, this has been the case
but i’d recommend it to anyone, even if it does turn out that you hate it. it’s worth a shot. anybody who has experienced irrepressible vegemite cravings – they are like no other – knows this.
this is almost certainly the first simon and garfunkel album i was able to listen to in full.
it’s an album containing no track i would skip, but instead so many i would love to leave on repeat. it would definitely be in my top ten favourite albums. nay, top five, i say.
i just hope you enjoy it too ♥
not the best work of palahniuk. it isn’t bad, and i did enjoy reading it, but the ending wasn’t near what i expected after reading others of his.
i note it as the most anti-climactic palahniuk novel i’ve read. it is worthwhile, however. just go see for yourself
an american friend sent these to me after i mentioned they aren’t available here.
i now know why they are not.
if i had wanted to eat plastic, i would have melted down a cup.
