A must read for any serious artist or art student. This is among the best books I’ve read on art education.
Maybe that’s why my expectations were so high. I can see why it’s considered great literature. It’s well written, a good story line, but it just didn’t capture me. I thought it was slow moving in parts. While I can’t give this book my highest rating, I do not discommend it.
read this. It’s three short stories: two of them Christmas stories and the other a Thanksgiving story. They are so well written and enjoyable to read and since they are short stories, you don’t even need much time to read them.
I didn’t even know who Truman Capote was up until a few years ago when I saw the movie “In Cold Blood” (also highly recommended) and developed an interest in reading something by him. I happened upon this book at Border’s right before Thanksgiving and figured it was time to read some Capote and the timing couldn’t be more perfect to read this. I’m glad I did.
