A story about "43Things"

43Things

43Things.com has been one of the most positive influences in my life in many years! I discovered 43Things awhile back completely by accident while searching the net for something else (I don’t remember what). I thought it was a pretty cool way to prioritize my goals; so I joined and added a few goals. Then I posted a few comments and invited my friends and family to join. I’ve come a long way since then. I’m kind of known as the link queen because I like to post links to the things I post comments on. 43Things is a marvellous tool for sharing encouragement and information. I’m ever so thankful for having stumbled upon it some time ago.

43Things
http://www.43things.com/

NurseHealer on 43Things
http://www.43things.com/person/nursehealer

A story about "Yahoo! Launchcast"

Yahoo! Launchcast

by Robyn

Yahoo LAUNCHcast offers a personal online radio station. You can’t completely control the music that is played on your station; but you can influence the selections by rating artists, albums, and songs. The more you rate, the more selections are played that you like.

LAUNCHcast Home
http://music.yahoo.com/launchcast/default.asp

Here’s my station’s description:

NurseHealer blends contemporary pop with classic & christian rock, jazz, R&B, and top hits for an awesome mix of pleasant listening music, toe-tapping favorites, and the stuff you just can’t sit still to. Sing along or dance your shoes off! Relax to sounds for meditation or Psalms. An awesome mix!

NurseHealer LAUNCHcast Radio Station
http://launch.yahoo.com/lc/?rt=0&rp1=0&rp2=1215779219

Why I want to consume "Flickr"

Flickr

by Yahoo

With all my Yahoo stuff, I eventually had to come around to getting a flickr account. I had a few family photos I wanted to share; so I opened the account.

My newest project is to scan and upload the multitude of photographs I have in the family history for relatives and genealogists to share. This will take some time. I’m including the basic information as a comment on each (full name, birth date and place, death date and place, marriage date and spouse’s name.) Later I’ll add more of a bio in another comment. It’s an humble beginning so far; but this is a project I can be passionate about.

NurseHealer @ flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nursehealer/

Why I want to consume "yahoo 360"

yahoo 360

I started with Yahoo 360 a long time ago, when it first started out, I guess. I invited my family to join and kept it private. ... and nothing happened.

Recently I discovered that people I knew online had requested to be added to my Yahoo 360 friends; so I opened it up, made most of it public, and have been redesigning my profile and blog. There are still a lot of bugs Yahoo has to work out with 350, like the feeds and groups listings; but I think it has good potential. I’m a Yahoo freak, using many Yahoo services; so it makes sense to utilize this tool as well.

I have a blog for family, holistic healing, and spirituality. I have flickr photos of genealogy (a project I just started; but will be adding LOTs to) and I have a LAUNCHcast radio station you can listen to. I’m using my blogroll to link to my other online resources and join all my stuff together, like my book that’s a FREE download, my 43Things.com goals, and my myspace page.

NurseHealer on Yahoo 360
http://360.yahoo.com/nursehealer

Why I want to consume "MySpace"

MySpace

by Tom

My kids got me onto myspace, mostly just to see what they were up to. (They’re grown, the baby is 21 now and the oldest just turned 30.) Eventually I found people I knew online and decided maybe I should do something with my myspace account. With my obsessive compulsive nature, myspace was the perfect extension from 43Things. I’ve been enjoying editing and adding features. Now I have a blog for holistic healing and spirituality, a group for events related to these in North Texas, blog groups (of course), a music playlist, and lots of other stuff. I choose to edit my profile manually to improve load time. (I tire quickly of all those pages that take forever to load.)

I’m enjoying using myspace and meeting new people.

NurseHealer on myspace
http://www.myspace.com/nursehealer

A story about "Project Playlist"

You can add the code for the player to your myspace page as well.

ProjectPlaylist.com
http://www.projectplaylist.com/

NurseHealer’s Project Playlist
http://www.projectplaylist.com/node/372886

NurseHealer on myspace
http://www.myspace.com/nursehealer
