A question I have about "Full Circle: One Man's Journey by Air, Train, Boat and Occasionally Very Sore Feet Around the 50,000 Miles of the Pacific Rim" — 1 week ago
I’ve read, re-read and enjoyed Palin’s Around the world in 80 days and Pole to Pole, and picked this one up in my local library. So I’m about halfway (in Chile) now. Is it me, or is the tone of this book different than the other two I’ve read? Palin sounds more melancholic and weary to me. I guess it’s due to the lenght of the trip and his wife’s health problems. Or is it just me (or the interpretation of the Dutch translator – I read the other two in the original English edition)?
