Huh?

Short Sharp Shocked

by Michelle Shocked

Don’t know why it shows that I say I don’t recommend this, I actually DO recommend this and anything else by Michelle Shocked. Fantastic “storyteller,” talented in so many styles, listen to Captain Swing, Short Sharp Shocked, Arkansas Traveler, and all of her newer releases. Fantastic!

Why I recommend "Kefir"

Kefir

Been drinking kefir since I was a kid, a common drink in Russia but not in the U.S. until very recently. (I live in a town known for its hippie culture, please do not judge me for it, but we do have an abundance of health food stores and this is where it was first available here oh so many years ago.) You see it also as “drinkable yogurt,” which is what it is. It’s refreshing and has a lot of protein and, er, little micro-organism things that your body likes. (You know, they call them “probiotics” now.) If you can’t stand the plain, then get plain and a fruit flavored variety and mix the two. Yum Yum!
