My Area of Interest: Read his bio, and loved his writting style.
Finished 04/17/08 – Now, this one I loved. I have just fell in love with his writting style. It’s simple, yet gracefull, and it just flows. Normally I don’t do historicals at all. I’m more of a contempory reader, but this was wonderful. It’s set during the 1st world war, about Private Peachy and how he ends up on the other side of the lines and falls in love with Annie (The French Whore). It is a beautiful story, very romantic with out getting all gushy romance. There is one other book Gene has written, and I will be looking for it! OH, almost forgot. I even loved the binding, how it has the “old” look to it were all the pages are uneven.

Finished 01/03/08 – Pretty good… it lost me a few times, maybe that was because I was doing the audio at work tho. I think once I see the movie it’ll fall into place better.

My Area of Interest: I love books wrote as txts, emails, letters, blogs, etc., and I thought from the title this would be one of those.
Finished 5/4/07 – It wasn’t one of those books. Turns out that it is just a book with the meanings of some of the symbols like for a cat }:-X or ^,, & stuff like A$Lkr (Ass licker). Handy little book. I don’t think I’ll ever really use all the short hand stuff, but I’m gonna keep it to remember how to do the rose and cat and stuff.

Watermelon

I really liked it. I started listening to this while I worked in the garden this weekend and finished it here at work. I’m actually suprized by how much I enjoyed it, and now I want to read her other books about the other sisters. I’m glad I listened to my friend Joyce and gave Marian another try.

Yummy Yummy

In Wal-Mart yesterday my daughter saw this and snatched it off the shelf. She held onto it the whole time in the store and just about died when the clerk had to scan it. She spent all day yesterday listening to it. When she left the room for quite a while, I would turn it off. She would come running back into the room yelling, “Oh NO!” and freaking out trying to get it turned back on.

I think she likes it. :)
