while i think this served its purpose, even though its purpose didnt become evident until 30 minutes before the end, there were a lot of glaring omissions. for 1: bob dylan got married and had a few kids somewhere in the course of this time frame. that was a major part of his motivation to stop touring. it would have been easy to slide in this little fact, i mean his wife is on the cover of bringing it all back home.
maybe she didnt want to be included in the interviews, and thats fine. but still, put it in historical context.
joan baez comes off like an idiot, no surprise there.
i enjoyed all the other characters from that scene, i wasnt familiar with a lot of them. entertaining.
i thought the interview with the present bob dylan quite enlightening, especially the last clip they showed, with him insulting the man interviewing (didnt sound like scorcese).
also, i liked the fact that someone used the phrase “faster than gangbusters.”
