Very enjoyable, once the mess of the first 3 or 4 chapters has been gotten through. Not that they’re not enjoyable, but the moving from past to present is very jerky. Sometimes you’re only in the present for a sentence or two and then JERK, you’re in the past again. After that, much smoother sailing. A fun book. A vampire book with heart. Go figure.

Hee Fun and compelling. Some great characters, some not so loveable, yet interesting. Here’s to hoping Sookie gains a little more smarts in further books, as she’s going to need them dealing with the Vamps in her life.

I enjoyed this book, despite the fact that book 2 in the series ended with no clue that book 3 would begin so heart-breakingly.

An excellent plot, more vampires and shape-shifters to meet, and Sookie is again an easy heroine to love.

Book 4 is much more fun than book 3. Sookie’s proving she’s got a smart head on her shoulders afterall. Weres get lots more face time, as well as shifters, the vamps, witches, and a faerie. Good read. Can’t wait for book 5!

A wonderful follow-up to the first book of Abarat. A fantastical, mystical, fun adventure that kids and adults can enjoy reading. Rivals Barker’s “Imajica” in pure imaginative creations and visions.

I will say this: it was a very satisfying read. This shall forever be known by me as “the relationship resolution book”. The resolutions (and the sex) are what made this book so satisfying. However, it was at the expense of the plot, I believe. I hate to say it, because I adore her books, but this is the weakest plot out of the series. Still a page-turner though, trust me.

Recommended by the author of Club Dead, it’s so far vaguely similar to the Sookie books and Laurell K. Hamilton’s worlds. In the end, this was a very fun book. I’m eagerly awaiting future installments!

I am thoroughly enjoying this book. Very similar themes to Laurell K. Hamilton’s world, her characters and writing style were the most impressive (next to Laurell!) from the Cravings collection of stories. I cannot wait to see where Wilks goes with this world, because she can rival Laurell in fleshing it out, to be sure!

The Anita and Sookie stories were too short. The MaryJanice Davidson seems to be the best so far.
