WORTH CONSUMING!

I read somewhere that someone found this movie charming. Not a word I’ve ever thought I’d use to describe a movie, but it is a very apt description.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Her characters seem overly driven by their sexual urges above all else, but would you really want it any other way in an erotic work? I had no idea EH had written Sci-Fi erotic fiction, for which I have a major soft spot. Combine EH’s intensely erotic scenes and sci-fi, and this could be a match made in Mysie heaven.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

i am officially sick of jane green. i can’t believe this is the same woman who wrote jemima j. since that book, her books have followed a familiar formula: girl gets boy, girl suffers devestation, girl finds happiness in the end. i can take a few beatings to get through a good story. but i’m sick to death of wanting to commit suicide in sympathy with the women in these books. enough with the devestation already. lighten up just a wee bit, can ya?

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love this album. It’s bookended by probably my 2 favorite tracks, “Hotel Intro” and “35 Minutes”. In between, every song is wonderful, although the woman he found for this album to accompany him on some tracks really grates on my nerves.

WORTH CONSUMING!

“Feel Good Inc.” and “All Alone” are so catchy, I’m sure I’m driving my husband nuts with the repeats. Most of the rest of the album just drags tediously however. I admit I actually like the track “Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head”, but it’s not an actual song. Hmph. I was so hoping for another album I could listen to straight through and enjoy every single track until I ran it into the ground. sigh

WORTH CONSUMING!

Emma Holly is a very erotic writer, but her fondness for bondage and domination distresses me at times. Once I got through the lead-up to it, the actual bondage was quite tolerable and even enjoyable. All other erotic encounters were just delicious. The characters started reminding me of Jane Eyre at the end, and I wanted to thump them all soundly on the back of the head for awhile, but everything wrapped nicely. Of course – it is a romance novel afterall.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I am enjoying and hating this at the same time. Ellie is sympathetic, but her refusal to stand up to her monster-in-law AT ALL is driving me nuts. At the half-way point the wedding has happened and wrapped nicely, and I’m tempted to put the book down and pretend that’s how it ended. But I just can’t. Knowing JG, the book will see Ellie grow some kind of spine and I’m looking forward to it. But also knowing JG, some kind of horrific catastrphe is coming first, and I am so not looking forward to that.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I liked the story, but I am frustrated with Sookie’s expanding love life. Everyone is interested in her, but she can’t seem to actually reciprocate with anyone for more than a second. Most frustrating was paying hardback full-price for such a tiny book.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I forgot how much I love JAG’s books. His characters are always so interesting and enjoyable. I believe each book has been from a different person’s point of view. Which can be frustrating when you’re as infatuated with the character Festina Ramos as I am. But she still has her place in most of the books, especially this one.

So definitely satisfying in that respect, and in others. There was some frustration with the characters not seeing the obvious in front of them and puzzling about it for so much of the book. But for the most part the plot was interesting and engaging. I could barely put the book down, afterall.
And finally, finally, we get some insight into this whole game the League of Peoples has set Festina into. As the book-flap says, this most likely is JAG's best book so far. Very, very satisfying.
