Chill in a quiet place, curl up with a cat or a book, make out or make-love. It makes a divine soundtrack to both the mundane or special occassion.

I can’t recall someone’s voice ever just making me feel happy. A beautiful, sensual, quiet yet boppy way to lighten your soul. Enjoy!

Mrs. Murphy's Marvelous Mansion

by Emma Perry Roberts

This book is a sumptuous delight for the eyes, and the heart as well. Rob’s drawings are intricate, whimsical, and delightful. Mrs. Murphy is quite a character that everyone is going to wish would live on their street.

I picked up the next 2 books anyway, and churned through them in record time. There is just so much more to them, with better plot, better mythology, and better character development. I believe what disappointed me the most about the first book was a lack of connection to the characters. Within the first chapter of the 2nd in the series, I suddenly cared. Each book has gotten better, with this one the darkest emotionally so far. Can’t wait for what comes next!

Except Mediate. Grr. But the song-order is really pissing me off. We agree the man looks like Brad Pitt. A very confused, constipated Brad Pitt! However, the pages inside live up to the high standard set by Emma Holly’s past works. She has this knack of creating characters that I don’t so much care for in the beginning, and makes me care about them. All the hot sex helps too!

I had no idea EH had written Sci-Fi erotic fiction, for which I have a major soft spot. Combine EH’s intensely erotic scenes and sci-fi, and this could be a match made in Mysie heaven.

The characters started reminding me of Jane Eyre at the end, and I wanted to thump them all soundly on the back of the head for awhile, but everything wrapped nicely. Of course – it is a romance novel afterall.

A story about "The Other Woman"

The Other Woman

by Jane Green

I am enjoying and hating this at the same time. Ellie is sympathetic, but her refusal to stand up to her monster-in-law AT ALL is driving me nuts. At the half-way point the wedding has happened and wrapped nicely, and I’m tempted to put the book down and pretend that’s how it ended. But I just can’t. Knowing JG, the book will see Ellie grow some kind of spine and I’m looking forward to it. But also knowing JG, some kind of horrific catastrphe is coming first, and I am so not looking forward to that.

A story about "Dead as a Doornail (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Bk. 5)"

Dead as a Doornail (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Bk. 5)

by Charlaine Harris

I liked the story, but I am frustrated with Sookie’s expanding love life. Everyone is interested in her, but she can’t seem to actually reciprocate with anyone for more than a second. Most frustrating was paying hardback full-price for such a tiny book.

A story about "Radiant"

Radiant

by James Alan Gardner

I forgot how much I love JAG’s books. His characters are always so interesting and enjoyable. I believe each book has been from a different person’s point of view. Which can be frustrating when you’re as infatuated with the character Festina Ramos as I am. But she still has her place in most of the books, especially this one.

So definitely satisfying in that respect, and in others. There was some frustration with the characters not seeing the obvious in front of them and puzzling about it for so much of the book. But for the most part the plot was interesting and engaging. I could barely put the book down, afterall.

And finally, finally, we get some insight into this whole game the League of Peoples has set Festina into. As the book-flap says, this most likely is JAG's best book so far. Very, very satisfying.

A story about "Vamped : A Novel"

Vamped : A Novel

by David Sosnowski

Very enjoyable, once the mess of the first 3 or 4 chapters has been gotten through. Not that they’re not enjoyable, but the moving from past to present is very jerky. Sometimes you’re only in the present for a sentence or two and then JERK, you’re in the past again. After that, much smoother sailing. A fun book. A vampire book with heart. Go figure.
