Not too bad, but... — 2 years ago

I'm currently reading 2 books, listening to 3 albums, watching 8 movies, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 10 other things.

Everything in this book is amazing: The writing is amazing, the characters are amazing, the scope and development of plot is amazing. Pullman is obviously a master of the craft, and this story is exhilerating and heart-breaking at the same time. I have never read anything as genius as this, and I recommend it whole-heartedly to anyone who appreciates fine pieces of art and literature. It blew me away.
It’s not a bad movie. I would say it’s gorier than the first, and that’s where the scariness is suppose to come from. My only qualm with the movie is that I guessed the ending twist right away, and I’m not the kind of person who ever really “gets it”. (But then again, I did that for the first one, as well…)
I would say this movie is only worth watching, though, to those who liked the first movie. It references the first one quite a bit.
I love how, when I eat pocky, my cat tries to bat it out of my mouth. It cracks me up.
Because of this documentary, I became a vegetarian. Through that, I’ve also paid more attention to my environmental footprint, and became more involved in politics. This is a great starting point for those wondering about global warming, and why anyone should care about it. The book of the same title is excellent, as well.
I love this book like you wouldn’t believe – partially because it changed the way I view writing, but also because of her stories of living in Taos (which I love) and New York City. This book isn’t for everyone, but for those whom it does speak to, you’ll probably adore it. I’ve read it several times over, and my copy is well-worn.
I became a better writer because of this book. Instead of over-analyzing every line, I learned to write freely, and love the process. This book came to me in a moment when I most needed it, and gave me the courage to be a writer. I am indebted to this book, and read it at least once a year.
