A great book for those who have their doubts about Darwinism. Also good for those who accept it, but need more details on criticisms thereof along with refutations to them.

This was my first foray into Zen; I’d never been interested up until I read this. I think it was an excellent introduction, and it has probably changed the way I consider values and ethics more than anything else ever has.

An excellent resource for those seeking to understand what conscious thought entails. Not only does he present a theory of consciousness that draws on imperical evidence, but he shows how this theory fits our perceptions. He also clearly shows why the Cartesian Theatre is such an attractive idea (in both dualist and materialist variations), why we keep reverting to it, while at the same time exposing its shortcomings.

I wasn’t getting most of what I was reading. Reading other books before trying it again. Hey, it worked for “Godel, Escher, Bach”.

I read this book a couple of years ago. An excellent introduction to marketing despite the fact the somewhat negative spin on the topic.

My first Gaiman or Pratchett. It got my hooked on both authors.

One of my favorite Discworld books. Along with Neil Gaiman’s American Gods an important reminder of just why fantasy are important to humanity.

Reified gods, modern and classic duke it out. A novel that looks at mythology and its impact on our perspective in day to day life.

Another great book by Neil Gaiman. Dark. Forces one to question what is important and why. Can’t wait to watch the BBC TV series.
