I heard it was really funny and a must see. Well, I am not much a fan of comedy especially what I call “stupid humor” and so I put it off as long as I could. Last week it was on tv and I watched it while correcting homework. I felt bad for the guy, and it was so obvious and predictable that he was taking bad advice from his friends and that if he just followed his own heart…. well I feel less smart now from watching this. But in all fairness I didn’t expect to like it and I didn’t. Perhaps if this is your kind of funny then it would be more enjoyable.

I'm Not There (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

I love Dylan’s music and I am a fan of several actors in the film and the concept seemed really neat…so it seemed like inevitable that I would like it. But I was oh so wrong.

I found it at best interesting and at worst annoying. I expected to walk away having a better understanding of Bob Dylan and ended up - well asleep. I never even finished it and that is saying something.

Really too bad.

Rock Band

I am a fan of Rock band in general – verying “f-ing” addicting as others have suggested. But the Wii version is a bit of a let down.

Unlike other consoles you cannot download additional song tracks, there is no customizing of the characters, the world tour mode isn’t as fun and the Wii guitar hero guitar is not compatible. Oh, and the guitar that did come with our game broke on the first day.

Crystal Chronicals - My life as a King

This game is really simple but it is totally addicting! I just finished it this morning and my grade at the end was “B”. I know there is more to this game then I was able to accomplish. When the game ended I still wasn’t able to get the second round of potions, magicitte and all that stuff. I sent my adventurers out on Behests but they either didn’t want to do it or died trying. I think my highest level person was level 30 - So how do I get this stuff? Also, I progressed to an Empire with 4 circles but what do you have to do to build up to 5?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall [Theatrical Release]

I saw this film with Baby Mama at the drive in on Friday night. It was pretty funny because after the 3rd penis flash a bunch of cars left – have to wonder if they were the ones with kids?? Anyway, it was funny but kinda made me wish I was watching 50 first dates instead.

Baby Mama [Theatrical Release]

Under normal circumstances I would never have gone to see this film. I am not really into comedy at all but I wanted to go to the drive in and this is what was playing. The previews really did nothing for me and I think they actually sell the film a little short since I enjoyed it more then I expected to. The plot was very predictable but cute. The acting wasn’t anything spectacular but nor was it terrible. It was worth the $6 I spent to see it.

Disappointing (rated 3 stars)

Brokeback Mountain

I was warned that there wasn’t much to this film and I have to agree. It took me a while to get into it… through most of it I was thinking “yeah so?”. Overall, it was beautiful to watch, the scenery was amazing, the acting was great but the story basically sucked. I think that if it wasn’t for the controversy then none of us would have even heard of this film.

Fantasy Lover (The Dark-Hunter Prequel)

Recommended by my auntie Julie as a great series. I just started it this afternoon and I am already on page 135—so definately a quick read. Although, I have to say that parts of this book are disturbingly similar to Gena Showalter’s pleasure slave… Not sure which book was written first. Anyway, so far so good and I am pretty sure at this point that I will continue with more books from this writer.

Can you keep a Secret?

I listened to this on audio and I’ll be honest and say my two favorite parts where listening one: listening to the British accent and two: the flight scene right at the start of the book. I am terrified of flying so the total breakdown she has was really hysterical.

Overall, the book was pretty predictable in the way that most romances are… you always know who will end up with who it is just a matter of how they go about it that is interesting…

Anyway, I think that he was a total shit to her at the end of the book and I am not sure that it was very realistic in its happy ending…. but none the less it was a cute read and if you want something light hearted and fun this book is perfect.

Superficial entertainment at best (rated 3 stars)

Bergdorf Blondes: A Novel

This book was REALLY hard for me to get into. I listened to it on audio book during my commute back and forth to work…and I think that is the only reason I made it to the end.

I totally hated all of the characters except Charlie. The ending was cute but very predictable. If you are a follower of Paris and Nicole then you might like this… for the rest of us I say skip it.

Book four was great (rated 5 stars)

Book four is great if you accept that it is not about Tally the way the first 3 were. Instead it is a new look at the world Tally created in the first 3 novels.

I LOVED the whole concept of getting hits or “kicks” and I think it is so relevant when you look at society today – hell look at what I am choosing to spend my time doing right now….
