The title should be “Apocalypse Jedi.” Mace goes back to his jungle homeworld (ahem ~~- why a jungle?) to bring in his former padawan, Deepa. I think Mace was characterized pretty well, but there’s ugly stuff in here -~~ kids killing kids, etc. Not pleasant.

Medstar I: Battle Surgeons (Star Wars: Clone Wars Novel)

A diverse group of doctors assigned to a mobile surgical team work to save the lives of troops stationed on a jungle planet during the Clone Wars. There is a Jedi padawan in the story, but the focus is on an ordinary human, Jos, who is the chief surgeon. Rounding things out are a Sullustan reporter with a drinking problem, an admiral with ties to the Black Sun crime organization, a Hutt stealing priceless drugs and a spy working for the Republic, the Separatists and Black Sun.
