Wow, what a book (rated 5 stars)

The "G" is for Guts: An American Glider Pilot's Story

by S.W. Maynes

This book was amazing. I was moved to tears numerous times and was so glad I was able to learn more about Grandpa’s brother and about Glider Pilots and more about WWII in general. I really really enjoyed reading it and on so many levels… I didn’t know Charles went through so much when he was at war, I loved hearing how he was such a brave soldier and how he was such a fun a happy truly and genuinely happy person.

You all need to hurry and read this book, it’s just terrific. A pure joy to read.

We found ourselves fast forwarding through some of the songs though… they were sooo looong. Maybe we didn’t love it because we were doing laundry though… could have had some effect on our mood. :)

Larry King said this was the “best spy movie ever” the New York post said it was “the Godfather of all Spy Movies”!! It had Matt Damon in it AND it was titled “The Good Shepherd”... multiple reasons to rebel and rent it, I thought it would surely be worth it! But nooooooOOOO it had to go and be dumb. Dang it!!! And for the record E didn’t watch it w/ me, (the goody goody :). Love him.

It’s a very intense action packed federal agent/crime solving movie minus the bad language… can’t beat that. It’s great for all of you sci-fi movie lovers out there but still great for all the sci-fi movie avoiders too. (like I usually am :)

We have Rubics Cubes hanging around our house and we enjoy messing with them. E doesn’t believe me when I say I was able to solve them as a kid. I swore I could… but now I’m doubting myself. Do any of you remember seeing me solve it?

If not were you able to solve it… therefore making it possible that I could have solved it, too?

It made us laugh pretty hard during parts of it… the table singing scene was a crack up… and of course their big ol argument was hilarious because it was so true to the genders…

overall a pretty good show. I give it 3 stars.

What did you think?
