Bought this one a while ago and lost it in my bookshelves for a while.
I bought this during NaNoWriMo as inspiration. It’s very inspiring. Hard to read the sidebars (black text on grey backgrounds) in low light, though.
This was a lovely, rich, really luxurious book to listen to. In many ways, it was quiet and dark, and the audiobook narrator has a very lulling voice—watch out that you don’t get lulled to sleep! This is definitely a story you don’t want to sleep through!
Bought at Powell’s during my recent trip to Portland. I read this over the Christmas holidays and discovered that, while it has very engaging characters, the author forgot to include a central conflict that could be solved by the protagonist. Result: a little deus ex (in my opinion) was required to wrap up the story. Don’t read it with your critical “grad student in literature” brain, but rather with your “sci fi” mind, and you will enjoy the ride.
Downloaded the unabridged audiobook from audible.com.
I bought this yesterday, having finished the collection of the first three books this weekend.
Downloaded from audible.com. Awesome “read,” as always!
