I think it’s time to let the bar and its sequels close. Truly.
After reading the first three, I had to go on!
Bought this during Borders’ 4-for-3 Summer Reading special.
I enjoyed this sequel to the Callahan Chronicals, but I felt the relationships went too quickly to really make a whole lot of sense.
This one had a very sad ending, not merely unfortunate. However, the implied pun in Uncle Monty (the python keeper?) is unfortunate enough….. Still, a great diversion. The writing style irritated me less than the first one, perhaps because I’m becoming accustomed to it.
Well, I felt it was necessary to read this novel, finally, now that the 2004 presidential campaign is in full swing.
It’s like reading the White House administration handbook.
I enjoyed this novel. The majority of conflict was communication, not clashing swords, yet it still had the feel of the “epic” by the end.
Very good “field guide” to dinosaurs, organized by both time period and type of dinosaur (for example: theropods, the meat-eaters of the dinosaur world).
Bought this one yesterday after reading the first three (in the Chronicals).
