Why I recommend "Burn Notice: Season 1 (4pc) (Ws Sub Ac3 Dol Sen)" — 51 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Burn Notice is one of those shows that you wouldn’t even know existed until you were sick one night and out of bordom you accidentally flipped over to the USA Network and found it on as a rerun. Sadly a lot of USA series are like that. Because of their small viewer size they can’t compete with the big networks in the fall and winter so they rely on people to watch new episodes of their shows during the summer months. For about two years now I have learned not to write off a series just because it runs on USA. In fact some of my favorite “catch a show here and there” series are on it (e.g. Monk and Psych). Burn Notice however is a show that I would recommend everyone give a chance.

The story is like MacGyver meets 007 meets train wreck family and friends. I’ll admit, if you read the show’s premise you will likely say, “wow, that sounds pretty mundane.” However, if you would simply watch the 2 hour pilot I believe you will quickly change your mind. One thing that is great about this show is that every episode of Burn Notice tells a discrete story in and of itself. Granted there is an overall linear story that gets tied nicely in with each episode, but at the end of every episode you get some satisfaction that you saw an entire story even though in the back of your head you still want to know what happens next.

The humor, action and intriguing story is enough for me to look forward to release of Season 2 on DVD and I highly recommend everyone give this show a chance. If nothing else it has Bruce Campbell in it so if you are old enough to remember him you gotta give it a view.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I told myself that I was done with M. Night after watching Lady in the Water, but he fooled me again with the previews for The Happening. I figured hey, they at least got Marky Mark so it can’t be all bad right? Ah man, I was wrong. The plot is ridiculous and the dialog is laughable. I would watch Lady in the Water 5 times in a row before watching The Happening again. Never again will M. get my $8.50.

Genius!! — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I have always mixed my food up into a single entree and have been shunned by my family and friends because it is not “socially acceptable.” Thank you KFC for breaking the barriers of dining etiquette and creating this delicious menu item.
Is it healthy? Of course not. But when you order something that mixes fried chicken with instant mash potatoes, cheese, gravy, sweet corn and a biscuit you’re not exactly adhering to any dietician’s meal plan. So…enjoy and eat up!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Every once in a while, something comes along and I become absolutely obsessed. Currently, in regards to food, it is Firehouse Subs. I’ve always been a big fan of a good sub and Firehouse currently holds my vote as the best. Plus if you go to their website and register they will send you a free sub on your birthday. Of couse I’m hoping they send a coupon instead of an actual sub. I’ll verify this in September. :)

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

First there was The 6th Sense, Unbreakable and Signs which were great. Then came the Village and Lady in the Water which has me questioning if I’ll watch any more of M. Night’s movies. I really can’t recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for the same satisfaction that they got from M. Night’s earlier movies.

Pretty good — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Everyone I talked to said that Knocked Up was funnier than the 40 Year Old Virgin. Very bold statement people! Granted it was a funny movie, but in my opinion it didn’t come close. The movie runs over 2 hours and there are times you kind of wish it would hurry up. The cast is extremely funny and work well with each other.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I was really looking forward to watching this movie. And I really hate that I didn’t like it. I’m a huge fan of the show and love each of the characters. The movie had its moments, but overall, a big dissapointment.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I’m pretty slow when it comes to predicting a twist or how a movie will end, but even I saw the twist on this one. Clive Owen does a good job with his part, but I don’t think Jennifer Aniston should be alowed to do any more movies.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Ok, so the movie won’t be winning best picture any time soon and the dialoge at some parts seemed suitable for a made for tv movie on Lifetime, but the Decent is a creepy ass movie. If you like being spooked, then you will probably like this movie.
