A review of "Gossip Girl #9: Only In Your Dreams: A Gossip Girl Novel (Gossip Girl)" — 2 years ago

I agree with the person below me. I’ve read all of the books so far and I have enjoyed reading all of them. However, I thought this book wasn’t so interesting. I found myself wanting to skip chapters to go to Blair’s section or something.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This just doesn’t catch my ear. I liked Discovering the Waterfront and When Broken is Easily Fixed way better. I kind of had low expectations for this, and I was right. There isn’t even have a track that I would recommend.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I listened to this album for a year without getting bored of it – that’s rare. I absolutely loved this album. Maybe it was just because I was in middle school. However, I still like to sing along and listen to it every now and then – it gives the same feelings as listening to old NSYNC or Backstreet Boys songs, lol.
I think it was one of the first albums that I actually liked as a whole, and wouldn’t skip through tracks.
I must say, this is my all-time favorite album.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve been a fan of Saosin since Anthony Green was in it and I’m not going to lie, it took me a listen or two to start liking this album. If you’re hoping to hear some screaming, I suggest you try Translating the Name, or at least skip “You’re Not Alone”. I don’t really think Bury Your Head should have been on there, since I’ve heard a couple of versions before, but oh well. I liked how most of demos sounded different though. I really liked this album, although I do think it sounds a bit too produced, but oh well.
“Finding Home” is probably my favorite track, lol it’s pretty catchy. Oh, I really like “Let Go Control” as well, but I think that only came with the iTunes version.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I watched this film for a French culture project, since I was interested in the director/writer – Francis Veber from watching Le Diner de Cons/The Dinner Game. I’m not really the type to actually laugh out loud while watching movies, yet this one kept me laughing in various parts throughout the film. I didn’t realize that Francis Veber likes to use Francois Pignon as a character – and in both so far he has been the “idiot.” I also liked when Francois’ dad talked about his corkscrew collection and how he was invited to a dinner to talk about them – allusion? :)

WORTH CONSUMING!

I haven’t seen the Illusionist yet, so this is not going to be a comparison.
Anyways, I liked the ending of the movie. Although if you’re quick, you probably could have figured some of the twists beforehand. Nonetheless, I liked the storyline and recommend this movie. However, I don’t think it’s something you can watch more than once.

maybe i expected too much — 2 years ago

I’ve heard good things about this film, so I finally decided to watch it. Will Smith and his son Jaden did an amazing job – the acting was great. Jaden’s little jokes were cute as well. However, I did end up feeling very attached to this film. I’m a very sentimental person, especially when it comes to movies, yet I wasn’t even near teary-eyed watching this. The ending was predictable. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’ve seen/read similar situations and such in my Social Justice class that didn’t end up so predictable. In my opinion, some parts were interesting and I don’t think it’s a bad film. Hah, I kept wondering why he couldn’t get an extra job or something beforehand.

I’ve liked films with much cheesier endings and such, so I guess i just had high expectations and was disappointed.

WORTH CONSUMING!

i thought the book was pretty good. the only thing i disliked was the occasional details that seemed unnecessary and dreadful, but maybe it’s because i’m not one to read much anyways. other than that, i loved the book.

A review of "Pride and Prejudice" — 3 years ago

when i began reading this book i had trouble reading it due to austen’s diction. it was pretty boring to me, but when i was around half-way through, i started to read at a faster pace and the book seemed to interest me a bit. i felt as if the ending was a bit lame though.
