Why I recommend "Syriana (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This movie was hard to watch. You have to pay attention to lot and there were some brutal parts. But if you have the time to really think through the movie, it is amazing. I find it especially interesting due to what is currently going on in the Middle East with Israel and Hezbollah. Part of the movie takes place in Beirut and deals with some issues of US and Iran relationships.

Why I recommend "Mrs. Henderson Presents (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love period films and anything with Judy Dench is usually good so I rented this form Netflix. I had high expectations because of all the award nominations this film received. This movie exceeded my expectations. It is a bold story and based on a true story. The performances are great and it is both funny and touching.

Also, there is are some interesting featurs on the DVD about the true story of the the Windmill Theatre and the making of the film. You even get to see pictures of the original Windmill Girls and mee to some of them today. Most of them are in their 80s.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

i don’t know, i just couldn’t get into this one. i liked the way the film was shot, but it was kind of confusing. i think it’s the kind of movie to watch when you can sit down with no distractions. my pizza got delievered during the movie and i was lost. you have to pay attention.

Why I recommend "Transamerica (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I was surprised. I thought the story would be more on the voyage of the sex-change process. but the sex-change was really a subtext. this is a great story about relationships and acceptance of all types. I’m really glad I saw it.
