what can i say? this movie is just pointless, boring and revoltingly disguisting. i’m VERY surprised everyone found it “worth consuming”. for having seen interviews of the director, you can tell he’s a pretentious perverted little fuck and his movie statement (he was “shocked by all the violence in the world/on tv and as a reaction, decided to make a violent film”) is bullshit. good for him he satisfied his torture/lesbo fantasies – but maybe it’d have been best to keep them for himself.

sorry to be so harsh, but i’ve rarely seen a movie who got that much on my nerves.

the only way to “enjoy” this movie is by not taking it too seriously. once you get that, it’s actually fun.

if you have to see one movie about Coco Chanel, this is the one – do me a favor and avoid that horribly crappy tv movie w/th Shirley MacLaine! loosely based on Edmonde Charles-Roux’s book, (“L’irrégulière”), the movie focuses on Chanel’s early life, first true love and climb to fame. Audrey Tautou truly holds everything together – her resemblance w/th Mademoiselle is striking – and i felt a bit sad we don’t get the chance to follow the character further on. after seeing the movie, i definitely want to know more about Chanel’s life.
