A gread read… it sounded a hell of a lot like my college career… minus the showboats, of course. And Maryland.

The beginning was funny, very funny, in typical Moore fashion…
Somewhere after Nate gets eaten by a whale the humour sort of drags… the way my writing does when I realise I have more gags I wanted to get in but not enough story… it’s a good read, but not one of his best.

A good read… very enjoyable… makes you want to read more.

Finished it… the Keats and Chapman vignettes are full of puns and sometimes a bit tedious, but the Brother is O’Brien at his best…

Finished… what a great read. I really liked King’s tone throughout.. and his admonishing of the sometimes inane Boston press corps.
Stewart O’Nan sounds a bit obsessive, especially about collecting baseballs, but overall it’s a great read.

For work, surprise, surprise.

Mostly as good as advertised. Enjoyable, if a bit samey after a while.

It falls down in a few places, but overall is pretty good. Very readable, at any rate

This book’s main (only?) saving grace is that it’s about the Boston Red Sox. And that’s not even doing much saving, to be honest.
Jesus, did I ever hate this book. Expect it to appear in a Sane Magazine book review one of these days.
