Wasn’t too impressed with all the sudden revelations at the end, which seemed to come out of nowhere. Still, will probably read the next one.
Tough for a non-native English reader. Full of interesting observations, but it does assume you have a bit of a background on the history of the Netherlands in the 17th century at the ready. Didn’t get my history-education in the Netherlands, so… Still, very interesting.
Got interested in this guy’s life after reading the first two installments of Stpehenson’s Baroque Cycle.
All right so far, not gripping me though. If you’ve read enough sci-fi not many surprises, although it has some new insights for me too, I have to admit.
Got this one from Adriaan, swapped it for Phaic Tan.
My sister Linda gave this to me. I love it so far: great bedtime stories!
Phaic Tan was better, but still… funny!
