this is basically about a guy who winds up destroying all his relationships due to his prostitute fetish. generally some of the problems he faced stemmed from a major lack of clear communication. for instance, his girlfriend would grant him permission to see prostitutes, naturally thinking that he actually wouldn’t go and take her up on the offer. when he did, he’d basically get slapped in the face. a few times i felt like i watching an alcoholic do the “just one last drink,” thing.

fwiw, the presentation is really endearing. hilary soldati plays the backup cello throughout the film, and she sounds way better by herself than she did in smart went crazy. great stuff! anyhow, i’m certainly a caveh zahedi fan now. pretty sure i want to see in the bathtub of the world, now, and the rest of his films.

this is sort of the best tea on the planet and i drink gallons of it weekly. i have no idea about the nutritional content. i suspect it won´t kill you, though. slightly minty and fruity, lemongrass, hibiscus, peppermint, etc. bright red kool-aid like appearance. sweet enough to drink without sugar.

oh wow. so shocking, disgusting, and beautiful at once!

it’s hard for me to even start to explain the book. i read it first when i was 13 years old and it inspired quite a few poems. i re-read it when i was older and the shocking sexual matter wasn’t exactly shocking anymore, but strangely beautiful. it’s odd how it makes deviant sex look non-objectifying.

i have the completely french edition of this, but i am listing the one w/ the english translation.

if you speak/read french, this is damned near the best french poetry out there. it is one of my very favourites ever.

they swear on amazon.com that the translation of this is great. i hope it is b/c there is a book called “blood and feathers” w/ lots of prevert stuff and the translations are horrible.

but really! go get it! so good! 3

yeaaaaa it was lovely!

made way more sense after seeing it in the theatre. i kept thinking, “god this is dumb,” but it wound up being a better read than i thought.

i highly recommend seeing this one at the theatre huchette in the latin quarter of paris. very cool!

it was pretty decent. some of the stuff in it is common sense (everyone needs to be reminded of these things though.)

a great deal of good and interesting info. this would be great for psych majors or anyone with an interest in how the brain works/how to make it work better.
