Maybe I’m just not as pissed off as I used to be, but this CD makes my head hurt.

Rebel Girl, though, is one of my favorite songs.

This is my favorite Sleater Kinney album ever. Ever. Seven years later and it still makes my belly tingle.

With all of its PKD-inspired goodness, it is better than having sex with wealthy chocolate in paradise.

Maybe the movie wasn’t the best, but the soundtrack is just phenomenal.

Joe Sample is just amazing! He is one of my all-time favorite piano jazz men. He is funky, soulful, melodic, moody, funny, talented, and innovative.

I’ve played this album for almost everyone I know, and it is one of those that evoke the “Wow! Who is this?” comment.

In short, if you don’t like Joe Sample, you must have sold your soul to Satan.

I love this book. The book is full of tons of patterns for various squares-granny and more-varying in difficulty from easy to hard. The variety is very inspiring.

I used the book to perfect my crochet techniques, and for that it worked very well. I will undoubtedly return to the book and design a nice baby blanket, someday.

I ran through the gamut of beginner genealogy books when I started in Family History, and this is the absolute best. It has all of the pertinent information you need when you begin, without overwhelming you with details that you may never end up needing. It also does a good job of hammering home the basic principles of genealogical research without being too preachy.

I’ve “been” consuming this for almost seven months now. Every time I think I grow weary of it, I listen to it again and the whole ugly, beautiful cycle starts all over again.

I realized that even though you may have the power to drive your fist through another human being’s body, you can still be kept in jail involuntarily by a man who eats mints stored in his eyeball.

There is a reason why this monstrous novel holds a place in our cultural matrix, and it is NOT only because it is so damn long. It is also because it is a fascinating, detailed, moving, rich piece of literature.

So it’s long. So what? Yes, you could read four other novels in the time it takes you to read W&P, but will they be as good? If you’ve tried before, and given up, don’t worry. As I say, getting War and Peace read is much like quitting smoking… it took me three tries to accomplish it, but I sure am glad that I did.
