not quite as good as DeMille’s other books, as the topic wasn’t as interesting to me, but, as always, he does such a great job that I forget my disinterest and engage. ;)

irish terrorists take over cathedral in NY.. Very entertaining and educational
beautiful book about cultural differences and cultures dying out
I found myself rooting for the anti-hero of the book, a thief. I was completely drawn into the book so that I felt sorry for her. It was definitely food for thought.
futuristic account of the control of information and mis-information
extremely disturbing, gory, violent and sexual. I don’t know if I liked this book or hated it. A completely different look at vampires and a brand new folklore. It definitely replaces the “heroic” vampire with an entirely opposite – a depraved, psychotic being. Perhaps that’s the way it should be.
I recommend this for family members and friends of pagans. I think it’s a fairly light and easy read that gives a good (but extremely generalized) view of Wicca-type spirituality.
Great reference and informational book, but outdated. Badly requires an update.
