A story about "Neuromancer" — 7 years ago
This was my first cyberpunk book (of many). It was a gift from a friend for my (summer) birthday after eighth grade; I was disappointed I didn’t get Magic: the Gathering cards. Little did I know!

Took me a few tries to get into it, but once I got the inertia to finish it, I found it’s a pretty good story.
If you’ve had some software engineering classes and read some web sites, you’ve probably heard all this, if only because everyone else has so it’s all kind of a given. Good to have it laid out like that for you, though.
I read the unrevised version. Good, especially the parts about Lucasfilm’s Habitat.
A funny intro; valuable. Read this, then move up to something like UNIX Shell Programming.
Great introduction and reference to those little programs that make UNIX.
(Not really the books-on-tape version.) Entertaining.
A yellowed, rebound, dirty copy from an honest-to-God library. Three pretty good stories. The second story was on TV just the other day, so I already knew whodunit.
Finally finished! Kind of long, and it doesn’t build up to the end, so it took some work.
The ideas are quite interesting, though.
