Why I recommend "Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease" — 29 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

frucking funny! especially when she tells you to put your little finger inside you mouth …mmm extra sex appeal:))

i did it with my best mates, which probably amplified the hilarity, but you can’t watch the tv when you’re surrounded by girls dancing like your mums favourite stripper.

its not a work out. only a basic a dance dvd jumping on the carmen electra bandwagon.
CE’s got a good body, but im sure it takes more than this;)

A story about "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" — 29 weeks ago

arg. i got it wrong. i always thought dr. jekyll was the evil one and mr. hyde was good..
you have to admit ’dr. jekyll’ sounds far worse:)

favourite line of the whole book
..”well, if he be mr. hyde, then i am mr. seek!” lol:))

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

this is confusing.
i cried sooooooo much reading this book. like from ten pages in to finish. i was sobbing.

and the last bit especially was tragic.

but i still don’t think it was a really great book. there was something kina ‘simple’ in it. like he’d dumbed it down. i kept getting this feeling that he’d just taken advantage of a plot line which was guaranteed to pull heartstrings, and then slacked off by filling it with with lazy generic predictable writing or tried too hard to make it easy to read.

i felt like he was writing to children.

maybe i’m out of line and that is the audience he intended. in which case, ..i dunno:). A&R had such a hype about it and i had higher expectations.

2 stars.

A review of "Brass" — 29 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

this book was disgusting.

i was so ranked out, i basically gave up after the first ten pages..

BUT, that in itself disgusted me, i’ll say i’m a non judgmental peson, but here i was safe in my happy little distance from this sort of life thinking, oh you fucked up whore.

i guess sexual deviants will always hold a morbid fascination with mainstream society. reading brass was like watching a train wreck. You’re going no, no, no!; but you can’t look away. it’s shocking and disturbing and nasty and graphic and perfectly written and totally engrossing.

i guess, in all my ramblings, what i’m trying to do here is justify my liking this book.
on top of that, justify liking and relating to the millie character, to the point where i was disappointed in her when she did something “bad”. nay, at times, i was semi-consciously jealous of her complete & utter freedom and her i-don’t-owe-the-world-nothing attitude.

if there’s a line of moral decency, and the vangaurd like to push to its limits, well helen walsh just ripped it down and ran over it. five times. for good measure.

its not how its written but whats written that make it a hard book. if a writer can make me react as much as i’ve reacted, i guess she’s doing something right.

get it. read it. i loved it. but have a really open mind:)

Why I recommend "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" — 29 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

lol. she manages to justify exclusively hunting down men who are millionaires, billionaires, or trillionaires.:)

”Don’t you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty?-
You don’t marry a girl just because she’s pretty, but my goodness, doesn’t it help?”

haha:))

Why I recommend "Tom Brown's Schooldays" — 29 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

costume designer on set is a GENIUS!!!

..they wear tophats to play cricket, and waistcoats with shin-length tails, paperboy caps that slouch ‘just so’, amazingly tailored dinner jackets to math class, and breeches to hold up their pants, crushed-velvet coats, the unmanliest (which is in noway a bad thing) white linen nightgowns, and always cravats, which in my humble opinion, should never have been replaced by ties. and finally.. fitted, thigh-high ‘i-am-so-jealous’, heeled leather riding boots…

let me keep these images in my head a moment longer:)..

I need a time machine to take me back in time and let me live as a male in the 1830’s!!!!!

WORTH CONSUMING!

this movie is soooo good.

when his mother dies, a guy learns that he had a twin brother..
and then it just gets fukin kooky from there..

it helps that the main actor is beautiful to look at;) and that they are speaking in french;) but its well made, slightly disturbing and totally engrossing. ..

one of the best thrillers i’ve seen!

WORTH CONSUMING!

forget the story line. i just lost looking at the fabrics, and the dresses.. even the wallpaper was divine.

my favorite scene was when it was just her running & being childlike in the gardens and she had on this (comparatively) simple linen dress,(which imo was the prettiest dress of the movie and i want, i want, i want:)) and the light was so gorgeous ..

for all it’s extravagance, the movie isn’t really that memorable..
but worth watching; if only for the white dress & the wallpapers;)
