NOT WORTH CONSUMING

It wasn’t the worst movie ever, but it was really really… strange. I didn’t really connect to any of the characters and the plots bored me. Mostly though, the characters were just soulless.

American Pie - The Naked Mile — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

First things first: these spin offs will never be as good as the original American Pie trilogy. That being said, the spin offs, even though they are direct-to-DVD are still pretty good quality movies. They’re smart and funny and even romantic. Band Camp was better, but this one was still better than expected.

Not for the prudish.

It is a cute family friendly movie. Definitely nothing very in-depth.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I thought for sure this would be a hit with the number of huge celebrities in it. I was bored out of my skull and a little confused by the irrelevance and absurdity of most of the movie.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Trippy, man! An interesting way to capture why drugs worked so well for the hippies in the 60s and just got worse and worse after the decade was done.

WORTH CONSUMING!

As with Kidd’s other book, The Secret Life of Bees, there is nothing especially exciting or interesting about the plot. The joy in reading the novel comes through getting to know the characters and joining them on their journey in exploring the world and emotions around them.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

While mildly entertaining to watch, this is probably the dumbest concept for a movie I’ve ever witnessed.

What the hell was going on?

Excellent Dark Comedy — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I normally don’t care for dark comedies. For some reason, a high body count in a movie isn’t terribly funny to me. This film was so unique, original and completely outlandish that I could overlook the fact that someone died every third minute.

Ever since I saw Real Genius, I’ve been convinced that Val Kilmer should do comedies. He is nothing short of hilarious. I was so disappointed when all he was doing was action movies and then completely disappeared. I can only hope this movie will be the avenue that puts him back into comedies, where he belongs.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Boring and completely predictable. The characters aren’t well developed in the film and I couldn’t care one way or the other what happens to any of them. This is one of the most poorly executed novels turned film I’ve ever experienced. Just terrible.
