Not too stupid — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Cute, funny movie. I especially liked the ending.

As expected, awesome — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I was exhausted when we started watching this movie, but it kept my heart racing and my butt on the edge of its seat throughout. It was by far the most horrific (or I guess dark) Batman I’ve seen although there wasn’t really any blood or guts. Heath Ledger’s performance is certainly NOT over-hyped at all. He was without a doubt the star. Despite its serious nature, there were a lot of laughs thrown in, which I really appreciate because I hate bummer movies.

Unexpectedly Good — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Unexpectedly sweet and not a bad movie! They did an amazing job at the special effects to get the dogs to look like they’re talking and such, though I think as realistic as the dogs were, the spaghetti in one scene could have looked less plastic. The soundtrack was also good!

Refreshing acting — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A cute, witty and thought-provoking movie.

A must see if you're planning a hospital birth — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a very informative documentary about what is wrong with this country and our hospital births along with options women have to make birth safer for them and their babies, while still taking full advantage of the progresses of modern medicine.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Interesting cinematography and a fresh plot.

A review of "The Pink Panther" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This definitely wasn’t the best movie, but I found myself laughing hysterically at some points. I was expecting not to like this, so perhaps that is why I was pleasantly surprised.

Happy Feet — 6 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

It was okay. There were certainly some cute parts and the whole thing looked and sounded amazing. There was no decent plot, nor any good dialog. The whole thing was preachy and a bit pointless. I was disappointed.

Idlewild — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Easily the best movie of 2006. Imaginitive and unique, this movie set during the Prohibition in Idlewild, GA includes gangsters, songs and tons of fantasy. The music is addictive. The story is at times funny, angering, sad and horrifying. I hope it collects quite a few Oscars this year; it deserves them!

The Pursuit of Happyness — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Grammar nuts: rest easy! Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith) is well aware of the correct spelling of happiness, which becomes apparent in the first few minutes of the film.

This film follows the life of Chris Gardner through a period where he’s struggling to get by after investing in a bogus business idea. His marriage is falling apart and while working his ass off, he’s doing his very best to be a positive and active figure in his five year old son Christopher’s life.

There’s nothing happy or reassuring about this film. It is very much the pursuit of happiness. There are parts you just don’t think you’ll be able to bear; it’s heart wrenching. You might want to wait until it comes out on DVD, if only to sob and wail in the privacy of your own home with plenty of Kleenex, but you must see this movie.

Hopefully this one won’t be ignored come Oscar time.
