belle and sebastian have finally made it to the worldwide stage…
they’ve been going for MANY years and have never really got much exposure outside their native glasgow (and the uk i suppose). many eps and albums later they’re getting the recognition they deserve. production values are hugely improved but they’ve kept their eclectic tinge with great songs and melodies.
highly recommended :)

the buttholes have produced some classic material in their time but i’d rate this as one of their most complete (and crazy) albums. more obtuse than “hairway to steven” (which is higly recommended also) and probably better than anything their peers have ever produced. “22 going on 23” is one of my most favorite songs ever.

plot: “A space shuttle mission investigating Halley’s Comet brings back a malevolent race of space vampires who transform most of London’s population into zombies. The only survivor of the expedition and British authorities attempt to capture a mysterious but beautiful alien woman who appears responsible.”
very enjoyable female space vampire type thing with an appearance by patrick stewart amongst others. cheesy, sexy and chilling.
