weird ending — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

i was hooked for most of the book. i liked how we followed the villain from nearly the beginning but still didn’t have all the answers. i couldn’t put it down when Dusty and Martie were attacked by the two thugs. i knew that Skeet and Fig had to be wearing the vests. i didn’t expect things to end the way they did. Pretty good all around, and as it’s only my third foray into his work i think i’d order my opinion of his books that i have read as Taking best, False Memory next, Velocity last. i love Koontz’ descriptive style and the way he plays off modern events. Once again, i think this would make a great film.

A story about "King Kong (Widescreen Edition)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

i am a total LotR fan but have never gotten around to watching any other Peter Jackson flicks. i suddenly realized that it’s been like two years since this came out and i still haven’t seen it! so i put it at the top of my Netflix queue. The first time i stuck it in i was distracted and bored. The next night there were no distractions so i decided to give it another try. Let’s face it, the first part drags and isn’t exciting. But once Kong kidnaps Ann the action never stops and this film gets a whole lot better. i knew there were dinosaurs, but how could it be better than Jurassic Park? i was wrong; when Kong takes on three T-Rexes at once, all the while clutching Ann, it gets way more exciting. And then all the bugs coming out of the cracks… shudder. A tad unbelievable, long as is Jackson’s trademark, but blows you away with it’s beauty and heart. i could have done without the love story, but well acted all around.

WORTH CONSUMING!

i’m not into the horror genre, but i am a fan of Shia’s and watch his films whenever i can. i didn’t know that Moss was in this, but she’s a great actress, too. This movie was a good mix of comedy, heart wrench, and fear. i would totally recommend.

huh? — 2 years ago

The special effects were great, but everyone in the future was saved because a girl cried on a bunny? i don’t really understand or agree with the major premise of the movie i guess.

So she made him turn around and that’s why he dies?!? If she wouldn’t have called him he would have lived. i thought that he wouldn’t get decapitated because he was ducking for the cell phone, not that he was going to blow up! Stupid ending.

best of the trilogy — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This movie had a better story line and Dominic Purcell as the ultimate baddy. i loved the dogs… though Reynold’s pubes were a bit too graffic for my taste. i actually liked Biel in this film, which was a new experience for me, but i totally digged her Oakley’s, outfits, bikes, and music. i didn’t really understand the end, though: what happens to Blade now?

why do bad boys have to be so hot? — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The first time i saw season three i had come over to the Vaughn side and was so pissed off when his wife turned out to be Covenant. i just recently got the dvds and watched the first two seasons right before this one and since they reaffirmed my preference for Tippin i didn’t hate her so much this time around, even found myself regretting that they had turned her into a baddie. i wish they would have brought Tippin back as an agent because his one mission with Sydney was awesome. And of course this ep is full of all things Sark, something i fully appreciate. Really good, thought not quite as great as seasons one and two… still the bomb, though.

nearly as good as season one — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

i’ve heard some people complain that only season one of Alias is any good but i disagree. Season two is nearly as good and is very interesting in it’s own right. The relationship development is wonderful and of course i could never get enough of Mr. Sark… even if he was a bad guy.

even better back to back — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Out of the blue i decided to rewatch these and i love them more now than i did when they were on the air. i still wish Sydney would have ended up with will but i like Francie more. i love Marshall and Weiss more than ever. i wish the show could have stayed fresh like this throughout its run.
