WORTH CONSUMING!

when two lives met by chance when they were children, only to be separated. meeting later in life only to find out they couldn’t be together because they are married to other people. So they they just get by with what they have. But that just not enough. They had a short affair. Only to be separated again. meeting later when they are old, for a brief moment.

Wow. this is just wow! This is one of the best romance movie out there. Talk about impact! If you’re a sucker for romance movies, you should consider watching this. I am not for romance movies, but this actually made me sit and watch!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is one sweet novellette. I have a hard time know who was doing what as an occupation though.

The sexy Irishman, Kevin Conlin, (widower who is a father of one), decided to hire Layla Swann to pose as his girlfriend in the plan to capture Andros, an antiquities thief in Greece.

Their acting, however, worked way too well for both of them cause they were falling real hard on each other. The three nights alone in a romantic setting isn’t helping enough to soothe their longing for each other either.

It’s a short one but a worth read. Good characters, and good settings.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

this scares the hell out of me. I wouldn’t trust my future kids to even watch it.

We’re more of a Sesame Street fan ourselves.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It does get better in the series. I’m dreading the day when I reach the last installment

WORTH CONSUMING!

I found myself feeling sorry for these 3 Baudelaire orphans and pretty much caught up with their adventures.

This is the 3rd installment of the Unfortunate Event Series, following the unfortunate lives of the 3 Baudelaire orphans, namely Violet (an Inventor), Klaus (the Bookworm) & Sunny (the baby who would bite anything, and I mean anything!) after living with their departed Uncle Monty, killed by Count Olaf, but he escaped in the process of about to put him behind bars.

Mr Poe (in my opinion, a useless main caretaker), a family friend who took care for the orphans fortune until Violet came to an age, brought them to live with another family member, name Mrs. Josephine Anwhistle, who lived in a house, in the edge of a hill (literally) above Lake Lachrymose, that is infested with Lachrymose Leeches, who would eat a human if they smellt food on them.

Living with Aunt Josephine, who was a total grammar freak and scared of every single thing, that they have to live in a cold house, eating cold food (she’s afraid of fire incidents) and the irony of being afraid of Lake Lachrymose, she actually lived on top of it. Yet counting their blessings the Baudelaire orphans, they felt lucky to be in a home with somebody that scared they actually feel secure. Until they came to a market one day and meet the Captain Sham, with a patch on one eye and a peg as one leg. but we all knew who exactly Captain Sham was, of course Aunt Josephine wasn’t very keen to believe the children.

One day, Aunt Josephine died, death cause, jumping through the window, leaving the three of them to Captain Sham (Count Olaf in disguised), and they knew Mr Poe wasn’t very keen to actually believe Captain Sham was Count Olaf in disguise (He simply believed they kids are hallucinating and seeing him everywhere).

The orphans tries to figure out a way to escape from the clutches of Count Olaf again when they discovered their aunt was still alive and was in hiding, somewhere. So they tried to get to her and tried to convince her to come back out to the world.

If you are looking for a happily ever after kind of ending for your kids, I suggest you look away from this series. But if you want to give a little modern era children facing somewhat real, you should let them read this one and of course, it’s not just for children. As before, we have free vocabulary lessons in this book as well. Enjoy.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Omg. I was expecting this movie to be at least as good as the series I’ve watched when I was growing up. But it failed me miserably. No. It’s not because of Tom Cruise. In fact, it was just that bad! As much as Speilberg is one of my idols and who I wish to be one of my mentors, but this is just bad. what happened????

Story of bullies and the bullied — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The story is surrounds the experiences of being a bully and being bullied by them. The main character is Jill, who is in the group of girls who bullies this girl, Linda who they dubbed as “Blubber” because of her essay about whales. It grew from just an inside joke to the rest of their peers, making Linda’s life a living hell.

I spent reading this book emotionally. I actually feel like wringing some of the characters’ necks! This would be one of the good books out there to introduce to the kids the problem of bullying and how to handle them in such a young age. Nevertheless the ending is kind of disturbing to be since there doesn’t seem to be a justification to the story itself. The adults too doesn’t seem to be much involved in trying to work out the bullying problem, which is kind of a shame. Nevertheless it’s a good read.

Loneliness finds Company — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Pregnant and stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken down car wasn’t something she expected nor wanted for Isabella. She was on her way to her old hometown to start a new life but somehow got stuck in the cold. A familiar face in the name of Michael Wulf, one of the known available rich bachelor in the country, came to rescue her from the harsh snow.

Shortly after, Isabella gave birth to her daughter, Emily, and that unexpectedly change Michael’s routine as they were stuck together in his mansion in an amount of time due to the sudden storm that have gotten worse. Due to their, especially his, past; they tried to live with each other and bear each other’s company. Overtime, their herats tugged for each other but Michael fought it off, trying to push her away for Isablella and Emily’s own good.

This is good quickie for me. The characters interacted with each other well, emotionally tugging. The plots actually pulled you in. I’ve enjoyed reading this one and I’m not into reading romances either.

Rubberish Hero — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

LASTIKMAN is a clique movie of the prologue of a superhero that fights evil with his new found powers, which happens to be able to stretch out like rubber. He is set out to destroy any sorts of evil in the world and in this movie, werewolves and a fellow mutant who’s like him named Lastika.

The main character is Adrian Rosales (Mark Bautista) who absolutely love trees. One day, he stumbled onto illegal loggers who threatens to raze the forest down, and upon trying to stop them, they beat him up and left for nearly dead under this magical rubber tree, which in turn heal him but giving him the gift to rubber. He teases his family members with his new powers behind their back and rescuing people in his spare time.

Meanwhile a werewolf (John Estrada) is running loose, preying on the innocents and an unfortunate woman, who is hunted by the community thinking she and her daughters are the werewolf, ended up shooting all three of them. The woman survived and restored by the magical rubber tree and dub herself as Lastika. She even urge Lastikman to join her to wreak havoc to take revenge on other humans. The showdown special effects and cgi are good but they could do better.

Nevertheless, I have enjoyed watching this but for me this movie is enough to just past time movie for me.
