How strange to realize how long ago this book was written—after several tries, I finally managed to make my way through this in the mid-90’s.
While I suppose it is the technically better written tale, I’ve always been baffled by why this title received a Hugo and The Sheep Look Up did not.
I know I have read this, and I don’t remember one blessed thing about it.
I love this book, then and now—why was biology so relentlessly ignored in science fiction? Vonda was one of the first to remediate the imbalance.

Read this after endless recommendations—it completely failed to capture me.
