Just started it and already i’ve cancelled all my evening plans.
If you or someone you love suffers from bipolar disorder, this book can be very helpful. It teaches you to recognize the signs and symptoms of the phases, and gives advice on how to deal with them. Not the least of which is leaving if things don’t change. The most important piece of advice for me was that even if someone is mostly stable, stress will make them react in ways that normal people wouldn’t.
One of the first food-biographies. Written in the early 50s by a “Moldavian” Jew who came of age in the Nazi regime and discovered his true calling (NOT law) – eating wonderful food, and writing about it.
This is the last GRRM book I will ever read. I’m just not that much of masochist.
If you think you might be “highly sensitive” and not just introverted, and are in a long-term relationship, I highly recommend this book.
