Why I recommend "Dolls" — 3 years ago
twisted fairy-tale like, but with some cheesy 80’s gore (was Bjork influenced by the giant bear?)

Best sword fight I’ve seen in a movie. The story is way, way out there but I wasn’t in the mood for reality anyway. And James Mason makes a fantastic villain. Bless Turner Classic Movies for airing this!
“King in Yellow” meets “The Ring”. Interesting but slow and some of it doesn’t make sense – guess it is open to interpretation.
Spooky and twisted. Not for everyone though.
What the heck? Am I watching Grease? Velvet Goldmine? A Hammer film? Suspiria? A Hard Day’s Night? Quirky and odd but very enjoyable. And I even liked Mr. Williams music. Might have to get the soundtrack.
