Why I gave up consuming "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I first found these books in a thrift store and bought them because of the covers. Wonderful, dreadful, sad, verbose and the Best Books I have ever read. They make me feel, which is something a lot of books and most movies fail to do.

A question I have about "Cerulean Sins (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Book 11)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Since Anita is busy having sex with everything that moves, why isn’t she pregnant and when does she find the time to Execute anyone or raise any zombies?

Simply Amazing — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Any book that has a character teaching his five year old self how to picks locks and steal what he needs can’t be all bad. Romance and violence and nudity and a twist on the time travel gimmick that has not been done to death. This is up there with Stranger in a Strange Land and The Left Hand of Darkness, destine to be a classic.

Why I gave up consuming "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I grew up watching all those old sci fi movies and I love the music. I can’t stand to watch the movie any more, but I will listen to the soundtrack forever.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Ok, it’s fun to watch Brad and Angelina run around in their underwear and shot at each other, hey wait, no it isn’t. A few good one liners. Watch Fight Club instead.

Liquorice Chocolate Bar — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The odd combo of black jelly beans and a Hersey bar with the bitter after taste of wormwood. The first bite is a shock as it is overpowering and eyepopping. But I liked it. The Wife found it at Central Market next to a Chili Pepper flavored candy bar. Oh those crazy Italians.

WORTH CONSUMING!

In his last book Heinlein was feeling kind of sorry for all the poor helpless characters had written about over his long career. So he had them hop into a time machine and he saved all thier lives. Well, most of them anyway. It was a rambling and pointless book, but I still liked it. Just as I kept reading Rice’s Vampire books long after it was clear that she had nothing new to say on the subject and was in fact repeating herself.
Heinlein’s last big fiction inventon was World-as-Myth, in which everything any writer cranks out is turned into reality on some alternate time/space/diminsonal lines. So he ends the book and his writing career the only self respecting way he could have—They All Lived Happily Ever After.

A story about "Pizza cooked on a Pizza Stone" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

You buy a frozen pizza and pop it in the oven and it comes out tasting, like a frozen pizza. But, put a pizza stone in the oven first and let it heat up to 450 degrees and put a little corn meal on top. Then slide that frozen circle on top and set the timer for 17 minutes or so. A thin crust will come out like a cracker, and the thicker ones will have more of a bready feel with a crisp bottom. Much more like a ‘real’ pizza. Great Stuff.
