WORTH CONSUMING!

Undead and Unworthy

MJD prefaced book #7 in the series by saying she was taking it in a new direction, and thank goodness! Unworthy is definitly the best since book #1 or #2, I was ready to give up but am glad I didn’t. An entertaining and fast read.

My Crowd

Addams = Awesome

A couple of the cartoons are dated, but most are still funny today. Worth reading for any Addams fan.

Nostromo

I had a hard time staying interested in this, I didn’t really get into it until hour 10 (out of 15). Not my favorite Conrad work.

Body Movers 3

I like this series, I do. But I wonder how long the mystery of the main characters parents’ can be drawn out – not to mention the love quadrangle (3 different guys are in love with her). Hopefully there’ll be some progress in the next book.

The Two Sams: Ghost Stories

Nice selection of five spooky stories – Mr. Dark’s Carnival was the creepiest!

A story about "Dark Dreams: A Collection of Horror and Suspense by Black Writers" — 1 year ago

Dark Dreams

Sort of a mixed bag of horror stories by black authors. Some didn’t seem like horror, some were pretty awful, and nearly every one rambled or dragged out. There were a couple very good stories: The Empty Vessel which was eerie, I, Ghoul, Siren Song, The Fourth Floor, He Who Takes the Pain Away, and especially the last Danger Word.

A story about "Everything I Needed to Know About Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume" — 1 year ago

Everything I Needed to Know About Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume

I remember reading and enjoying Judy Blume books when I was a girl, but apparently I missed out big time by not reading Forever. There’s quite a few essays regarding that book’s influence, but I think I jumped from Blubber and Are You There God… straight to Christopher Pike, VC Andrews, Mary Higgins Clark and Stephen King.

Reading Everything… made me want to re-read all of Blume’s books!
