A story about "V for Vendetta" — 3 years ago
it’s a well crafted film. however it might have been more interesting, fresher, if the wachowski brothers released it back in the 90’s when they first adapted the comic book.

Last nite….
and they were awesome! at hammerstein ballroom. I haven’t see The Strokes live since 2002, and it was the best. They played NYC Cops – that brought back memories. And at the end of the show Fabrizio threw his drums off its pedestal.
I saw it for the first time last night with my buds. I’m tacking this on my list of all time favorites! My friend Paul says we need to find the script for this because the characters say such classic one-liner gems as “Aren’t you going to lose the laundry?” or how about “How dare you cast away my alabaster charms!”
incredibly dreamy (or perhaps sappy?) – i picked this up at Colette in Paris last summer. great for right now before valentines. there’s this one song by The Free Design “if I were a carpenter” with lyrics like “if i gave you my only-ness, would you give me your tomorrow…” so there i’m a sap.
Just saw this last night on a big screen for the first time at the MOMA (hurrah for free tix!). Jean Seberg was the reason i cut my hair into a boy cut 13 years ago. The movie was much funnier and campier than I imagined it to be.
I’ve seen this movie twice – in its original release at the Tribeca Film Festival (it was jury prize winner) and again at the MOMA. I believe it may already be out in DVD. I truly recommend it – although be prepared it’s one of those films that kicks you in the heart – it’s hard to believe humanbeings can be that cruel.
this book is hilarious – and actually is a fantastic idea! imagine accepting every single date that is asked of you? just think about all the possibilities – for all we know we’re passing up on someone who could be totally right for us because we make assumptions about folks before getting to know them. and this author did it all in nyc.
now that i’ve finally finished it – it was kind of a let down. the author does all of this dating while she’s still in school! huh? who gets jaded so early in life? the book started out funny, but just went downhill from there
very good. although i will admit to having a hard time following the multiple, concurrent storylines that are played out in this movie. i would suggest seeing it twice if you can.
my next door neighbors must think i’m loony. i play another day over and over and over
this brings back all my teen memories!
