A plaguing injury and a desire to run faster, better and stronger is what prompted me to pick up this new read.
AWESOMEBOOKFOR A RUNNER – especially if you’re curious about where your running could take you, like triathlons for example! (I have zero interest in competing in a triathlon but I am curious and this book gave me enough info about it to know something about it)
In this book are some exercises that could help prevent knee injuries along with workouts to help you run with better power, i.e. push off. In addition, it’s a fabulous resource if you’re suffering an injury but want to maintain fitness somehow (it lists different types of sports and how much of it would match the intensity of a run that you’d miss). It also talks about different types of stretching and the benefits of yoga!
Since I started reading this book, I religiously incorporated the bike and yoga into my workouts and have seen huge improvements.
This is a must-read for runners!
