After I saw this in the theater, my friend and I went out to meet a group of people at a fast food restaurant – where we both ordered milk shakes. And then we went bowling. Kind of fitting, no?

When I spent a long weekend in Amsterdam last summer, I had the song “Comfy in Nautica” in my head the entire time. It would get especially prevalent at crosswalks, where the beeping of the walk/don’t walk signs seemed to act like the rhythmic “Time… time…” backdrop. It was good trip, but I wish I brought my iPod, just to get it out of my head.

My old professor wrote this book, so I bought it and read it, not knowing anything about the band at all. And today he sent me a very nicely made mix CD. I’m pleased.

Why is the title called “Indefinite Leave to Remain”? Was that a working title? What does that even mean?
