I caught it on cable and it was horrible.

It’s worth reading if you can get into it.

A story about "Dr. Zhivago"

Dr. Zhivago

by Boris Pasternak

that’s a little hard to get into, because of all the characters and subplots. I saw the movie last year and now I’m reading the book.

However, I had seen similar plots in other movies. The special effects were great.

It was cute, if predictable.

A story about "The Historian"

The Historian

by Elizabeth Kostova

This book is awful. I can’t believe I wasted reading 500 pages on stuff that you can read in any history textbook. Not to mention the “scientist’s dumb daughter” plot device. It wasn’t scary, it wasn’t well-written. I imagine it was only published because of the use of the historical Vlad Tepes. Poor Vlad. I’m sure he’s turning over in his grave.
