I was watching this if only to have something to make fun of, but ended up seeing a film that had something to say about mentally challenged people and people with a differing view of reality that I dod not expect.
Very silly, but for fans of The Beverly Hillbillies they will get a kick out of the cameos of Buddy Ebsen (as Barnaby Jones) and Zsa Zsa Gabor from another Paul Henning creation, “Green Acres”.
Lily Tomlin was a great Jane and Granny played by Cloris Leachman was almost scarily dead on!
He starts as a failing salesman on the edge of his ropes.
At the end we see what needs to really be sold maybe something very different.
A bit slow, the film finds itself ending properly.
I say no more for fear of spoilers…
I listened to this LP so much in the day that I wore it out
It gave me a lot to think about, and I can easily remember all the main points now nearly a week after viewing
A fascinating look at things that truly changed the world.
Low on my Allen films (and I like him).
I was actually aware of his voice being spoken through several characters who were doing their best to deliver what was actually written for Woody Allen to deliver himself.
The story is interesting. I wonder why it needs so much profanity – it adds zero to the story
