The writing style of Michael Flynn is gorgeous. He cares about his characters, tenderly bringing them to life making thier faults as much of their lives as thier strengths, even realizing that a trait can be (and often is) both. As a reader, you understand thier decisions, hopes, even if they aren’t what you would make in your own life.

The book is bittersweet and much more about the people than the ship the book is named after. A must for anyone who loves sf.
