Being that I own Furtado’s previous two efforts, and becoming addicted to that insanely addictive tune “Promiscuous”, I insisted on picking up her latest effort “Loose”. I’m currently about midway through it and while it does kind of suck that she sacrificed some of her worldbeat influences, I think this is an excellent album to just pop in your car’s stereo and jam to. Judging by the success this album has achieved thus far, she’ll have many more opportunities to find a happy medium between the dancefloor and speaking her mind.
