I read it during my lunches and little spots of time I could get in during my week and devoured this one. I’m not sure what the person below really felt about this, but I expected the story to be a bit outlandish. Most really interesting stories are. There was incredible action, and you get used to his movements through both realities. I love books where you can study the names and try to find out why the author chose them. This was one of those.

I’m a big fan of that way of thinking. I like that story meg ryan tells in “Joe VS the Volcano”. I haven’t seen that movie in a long time and have no idea when it came out because I saw it on video. I think it goes something like her telling a story about a land of asians who have really long chopsticks. Too long to feed themselves. He asks something like, “don’t they all starve” and she responds with that they don’t because they learned that if they feed eachother, then everyone eats. I also liked another quote that I actually found, from that movie:

My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement. —Patricia

Hmm, I might just have to watch that movie again.

PS. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I just dreamed up the story about the chopsticks or not. Eh, I’ll just have to find the movie again. If you watch it, let me know if it has the chopstick part.

I’m doing this thing where I watch chinese movies because it helps my chinese, or at least that is what I’m telling myself. Well, this was suggested. A romantic comedy. It’s amusing. It is about a girl named Kinki who is just a real pushover. She works for a guy named Andy who is the top sales manager. Kinki has this thing. She is a compulsive cleaner whenever she gets nervous. The comdey goes from there. It’s sappy but I didn’t find myself hating it after I was done.

I think a lot of the merging stories kind of movies started more with lock stock and two smoking barrels, but that’s probably just my ignorance because that is the first of those kind that I saw. My first gut reaction was: This was the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Then after I was done, I realized, the genius of it. It was so stupid that it went all the way around the meter and came back to good again. You find yourself having more fun quoting the movie than actually watching it. It strangely gets funnier the second time you watch it.

I think this movie was worth watching as long as you tried not to tie it back to the actual original story. There were a good amount of changes to the original story so I didn’t like it at first, but then realized it was being too hard on it. I laughed when I saw that orlando bloom was again shooting arrows.
