Great book for developers who are new to C# (rated 5 stars)

This book is not that way. It assumes that you already know programming and teaches you the details of C# and the CLR.

However, I am quickly tiring of the excessive and redundant code examples, and am finding that the space they take up would have been put to better use by going further in depth. I’m surprised to find that I’m already encountering issues that this book does not cover.

Why I want to consume "Everyday Scripting with Ruby: For Teams, Testers, and You"

After taking a break of about a year, I want to get back into programming (in gererally) and using Ruby (specifically). I was looking for a book that would not be focused on the fundamentals and concepts of programming (this is an object, etc). I also wanted a book that delivered useful, practical examples of Ruby code, comments on best practices, used regexps and test driven development. If it wasn’t too much, I also wanted a book that would be enjoyable to read (for me). I’m currently on chapter 9 and thus far it has delivered on all fronts. Excellent book, Thanks Brian!
