A story about "Stephanie Daley" — 5 years ago

Amber Tamblyn is a fine actress and I will watch anything she does artisically. I’ve watched her act since she was a younger gal and have enjoyed watching her career unfold. The movie itself is a very good independent film. It is one of those that has flair and culture, and you can tell was made on a lower budget, but that makes it a better film. Excellent cast, and filming, the plot on the other hand could have used some work, there weren’t many twists and turns, and it ended predictably. You were rooting for your main character, only to have her fail. :( Such is life. Maybe it was the subject matter that didn’t agree with me.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Absolutely phenomenal. It took me a while, but towards the end all the pieces fit together like a melodic symphony!!!!

A story about "Premonition (Full Screen)" — 5 years ago

Definitely worth the view and the wait to see it. Bullock is pheonomenal in this. It was just suspenseful enough not to confuse you, but to let you venture your own guesses as to what was going on. The best part was it didn’t have the ending one would expect.

A story about "Wonder Boys" — 5 years ago

Saw the story line on the box and thought hey I’d love this. While I did watch the entire thing, I am very wishy washy on whether or not I liked it and it is definitely not something I would watch again. It just made NO sense – kinda like a retro movie with too many pieces and not enough to tie it all up.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Loved it when I was a kid, and did not find it cheesy now that I am an adult. Watched it with my own kids, and they loved Falcor the flying dragon dog and want to watch it over and over again. Seems shorter now that I’m an adult though. I was preparing myself for a 3 hour excursion. :)

A story about "Jennie Gerhardt (Pine Street Books)" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Definitely worth reading! Wanted to read this for some time and couldn’t put it down. Heartbreaking! Now we are in a 19th century setting for Jennie Gerhardt and basically what this book portrays is a modern day form of prostitution. Or potentially marriage. However, I must say that while Jennie needed the money and it was her intention to help her family out by conjoining with the Senator and Lester, she didn’t love either one at first. This leads me to another question: comparing several heroines from this same time period, who was the worst villian? Lily Bart? Undine Spragg? Sister Carrie? or Jennie Gerhardt? Lily was hardly a villian, she was virtious and that was what led to her eventual demise and situation. Undine Spragg takes it all as the most motivated, cut throat, stop at nothing villian, and Sister Carrie and Jennie seemed to be in the same place, although Sister Carrie was slightly more villianous. Excellent read, very well worth the time, and can easily be connected to many modern day women and their own situations, intentions and partnerships.

A story about "Motley Crue: The Dirt - Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Totally worth it!!! Not your average expectation from a Rock band. Nikki’s portions drew me in completely and I understood a lot more about him from reading the book. All contributors wrote excellent chapters and you could really tell who was writing voicewise. Mick’s chapters were definitely awesome. I would read it again and again. Certain aspects of the biography did turn my stomach, the girls with the phone incident, but did we expect any less? Could barely put it down. Can’t wait for Heroin Diaries this September.

A story about "Bridge to Terabithia (Widescreen Edition)" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Read the book in fifth grade and loved it. Watched the movie and loved it. True to conventional form with social implications made it a great movie for an adult to watch. The actors and actresses were well cast.

A story about "McDonalds French Fries" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Not that it is good for you but it is better tasting than other french fries in the fastfood industry

A story about "Night at the Museum (Full Screen Edition)" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Good lighthearted movie with a decent plot. Couldn’t understand why he did the things he did in the end with regard to his predecessors, but still overall worth my time.
